A 62-year-old Macomb County resident is celebrating after a long-held belief finally became reality – she hit the Lotto 47 jackpot, winning an incredible $1.72 million.
The lucky winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, matched all six numbers from the September 25 draw: 4, 12, 25, 33, 41, and 47.
“I’ve been playing Lotto 47 online for a while, and I always had this feeling that one day I’d win the jackpot,” she shared with Michigan Lottery officials. “When I got the email about my win, I was so shocked that I could barely tell my son and daughter-in-law the news!”
She purchased her ticket through the Michigan Lottery’s online platform and has already claimed her prize. Rather than opt for long-term annuity payments, she chose a one-time lump sum of approximately $1.2 million.
With her winnings, the woman plans to buy a new home and support her family, turning her dream into reality for both herself and her loved ones.
