A Michigan Lottery player, Thomas McIntyre of Belleville in Wayne County, won a $100,000 prize in Powerball’s October 12, 2019 drawing.

The jackpot was worth $90 million. And the 64-year-old man matched four white balls, plus the Powerball drawn, – 12-29-34-53-65 Power Ball: 23, to win the games third prize worth $50,000. But, because Thomas McIntyre had added the Power Play add-on-option, they multiplied his prize by two for $100,000.

“I checked my email the day after the drawing and saw I had an email that said: “How To Claim Your Prize,” said McIntyre. “Usually when you win online, the money just goes into your online lottery account, so I knew something different was going on.”

“When I opened the email, my jaw dropped, and I said: ‘Oh my God!’ I instantly called my mother to tell her the good news!”

A happy Thomas McIntyre recently visited MI Lottery headquarters in Lansing to claim his big prize. With his winnings, McIntyre plans to invest his winnings.
