Winning the lottery always comes as a surprise. Which is what I think has happened to this 68-year-old man from Bay County, who was shaken by a sudden $154,303 fortune he won playing Michigan Lottery’s Jackpot Slots Fast Cash Progressive Jackpot.
The anonymous player was having drinks with friends and as they were finishing up he just decided to buy a couple Jackpot Slots tickets at the John’s Bar and Party Store, located at 1476 South Tuscola Road in Munger in Bay County, Michigan.
“As I was glancing at them, I noticed the jackpot amount at the top changed from $154,303 to $10,000 so I knew something was up. I handed the tickets to the bartender and when she started hooting and hollering I knew I had won big!”
The lucky player visited Michigan Lottery’s central offices in Lansing on Tuesday to claim his $154,303 prize. He plans to use his winnings for his retirement.
“I worked in the auto industry and lost most of my retirement during the recession. Winning this is a definite relief for me,” the player said.
Fast Cash games are a series of instant-win games that print from terminals at Lottery retailers. Fast Cash tickets range in price from $1 per play up to $10 per play, and feature popular game themes, including Cashword and Wild Time.
Fast Cash games also offer a progressive jackpot that can be won instantly. Every Fast Cash ticket gives players a chance to win all or part of the progressive jackpot.
All Fast Cash games feed into one jackpot, which grows with every ticket purchased. The current jackpot amount prints on each ticket, so players always know the amount of the jackpot up for grabs. The jackpot may be won at any time. As soon as the jackpot is hit, a new one starts again.
