A 52-year-old man from Saginaw County was stunned to discover he’d won $4 million from a Michigan Lottery scratch-off ticket. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, bought two $4,000,000 Ultimate tickets while getting gas at Fastlane convenience store on State Street.
Initially confused by the claim message on his first ticket, he realized his win while pumping gas. Opting for a lump-sum payment of $2.7 million, he plans to buy land and invest.
Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli congratulated the winner, highlighting the impact of instant games on Michigan’s School Aid Fund, which reached $1.3 billion in 2023.
