A 45-year-old married man has won $2.5 Million playing the Michigan Lottery classic Lotto 47.
This ardent player of the Lotto 47 game, joined the Michigan Lottery’s ever-growing list of millionaires after matching all six (02-03-09-18-20-23) Michigan Lottery Lotto 47 Jackpot winning numbers drawn on 26 May 2018.
He purchased his winning ticket at the Stillwater’s Market shop, located at 7058 West Q Ave in his hometown of Charter Township, a charter township of Kalamazoo County, in the U.S. state of Michigan.
A little while after purchasing his lucky ticket he visited the Official Michigan Lottery website, to check the current winning number which he jotted down on a piece of paper then went out to his car where he had left his ticket. When he saw he matched all six numbers he could not believe it, that’s when he woke his wife up to double check it for him.
In his wife’s company, this jackpot winner then visited the Michigan Lottery headquarters that Friday to anonymously claim the big prize. They opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment of about $1.6 million, which they plan to settle bills, set up a college fund for their kids, and invest some for retirement.
