Voting is one of the most prized rights of every citizen, and Michigan Lottery has a moral obligation to honor the process. Thus, MI Lottery headquarters in Lansing will close on Tuesday. This in observance of Election Day 2018.
In the US, Election Day is the day installed by law for the general elections of federal public officials. This day is statutorily held on the first Tuesday after November 1.
This affects all MI Lottery regional offices located in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Livonia, Saginaw, and Sterling Heights.
Scheduled game drawings will, however, take place on Tuesday while regular working hours will resume at 7:45 a.m on Wednesday.
Bank claim centers affiliated with the MI Lottery may be open on Election Day 2018. However, they will not be able to process claims, because the Lottery headquarters will be closed.
