Just like a fairy-tale dream come true, the ticket he bought matched all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn on Monday, June 11, 2018 (07-08-12-17-28), he won the $279,663 jackpot.
“I checked my tickets online a couple of days later and I couldn’t believe I’d won. I called for my wife to come and look at the computer with me and she was just as stunned. We both kept saying: ‘We never win anything!”
The lucky player visited Michigan Lottery headquarters on Wednesday to anonymously claim his $279,663 prize. He plans to invest some of his winnings, buy his wife a new car and pay off all of their debts & bills.
