A 69-year-old woman from Ottawa County wasn’t anticipating a win, but played anyway and is now thrilled she did. This after she won a $250,000 prize playing the Michigan Lottery’s Keno game.
The fluky player, who chose to remain nameless, matched ten of the twenty-two winning numbers drawn last Friday to win the $250k prize.
Her winning numbers were (08-33-37-39-48-49-55-61-70-71). She bought her winning ticket at the Meijer gas station, set at 14900 U.S. 31 in Grand Haven.
“I got paid Friday, and decided to buy a KENO! ticket for five draws,” said the 69-year-old player. “I woke up on Saturday and checked the numbers online. I wrote them all down and circled the ones I matched.
She visited Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing on Tuesday to collect her $250,000 big prize. With her winnings, she plans to complete some home designs, pay bills, purchase a car, and spoil herself with a trip.
“I always hoped I’d win big, but I never expected it to happen,” she further said.
